A second casino application may be on the horizon for Beloit City.
The city council will meet with City Manager Larry Arft in a special closed
meeting. The city manager feels that if a new casino application is submitted a
new intergovernmental agreement would need to be decided.
The application would be negotiated with the original Chippewa tribe as well as
the St. Croix, Bad River and the Ho Chunk.
The city is optimistic the new application will be stronger than the original.
The council is not scheduled to make any announcements or reconvene after the
special meeting.
