Plans have been announced for a proposed Ho-Chunk casino in Beloit near I39/90.

In addition to the gaming there would also be a water park, shops, and a convention center.

The project is estimated to cost $400 million to complete.

Revenue sharing agreements have already been made between Beloit, Ho-Chunk, and Rock Country.

If the project is approved it would create 3,3736 construction jobs. 1,482 jobs after the casino opens. The city of Beloit could be paid $3 million from shared revenues.

An environmental impact report will need to be completed before the project can proceed. After the report, public hearings will be held. Then approval must be given by Gov. Scott Walker. It is possible that if everything is approved the casino could open by 2021.

Currently Ho-Chunk operates Black River Falls and Wisconsin Dells casinos.
