MADERA, Calif. - North Fork Mono Casino & Resort has officially announced that it will open at midnight on October 28, 2026, ending months of speculation as one of California's most anticipated tribal gaming projects nears completion.
Located along Highway 99 in Madera County, the new casino will feature more than 2,400 slot machines, 40 table games, eight dining venues, and four bars, making it one of the largest new gaming destinations to open in California's Central Valley in recent years.
The opening marks the culmination of a long development process for the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians of California. The project spent years navigating federal approvals, state gaming compact negotiations, and legal challenges before construction could move forward.
Recent months have shown clear signs that the property was preparing for launch, including dealer training programs, rewards club enrollment events, hiring efforts, and the arrival of gaming equipment.
With the opening date now confirmed, the casino is preparing to welcome its first guests and begin a new chapter for tribal gaming in the Central Valley.
