Temporary Naskila Casino Opened Aug. 25 in Leggett

The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas has set Tuesday, August 25 as the official public opening datefor the Temporary Naskila Casino

The opening marks the tribe's first expansion beyond its existing Naskila Gaming operation near Livingston andrepresents a significant new tribal gaming destination for East Texas.

Opening day details

The Temporary Naskila Casino's website lists August 25 as the opening date and promotes aspecial giveaway starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, signaling a full public launch rather than a limitedpreview period. Guests are invited to visit the property beginning that morning to participate in the promotionand experience the new gaming floor.

While the tribe has not yet announced a formal grand-opening ceremony, the 8 a.m. promotion is positioned as partof the casino's first day of operations.

Temporary casino features

The Temporary Naskila Casino is designed as a streamlined, 24/7 Class II gaming facility. According to previouslyreleased plans, the venue will feature electronic bingo machines, quick-service dining, a players club for rewardsand promotions, and on-site parking. The property is expected to create more than 100 jobs, providing an immediateeconomic boost to Polk County and surrounding communities.

As with the tribe's Livingston operation, the Leggett casino will offer Class II electronic bingorather than traditional slot machines or table games, consistent with federal law and the tribe's Restoration Act.

Permanent Naskila Casino Resort under construction

The temporary facility sits near the construction site for the future Naskila Casino Resort, alarge-scale project that broke ground earlier this year. The resort's first phase is planned to include thousandsof electronic bingo machines, a hotel tower, multiple dining options, event space, and a resort-style pool complex.

The Temporary Naskila Casino will operate continuously while the permanent resort is built, giving the tribe anopportunity to establish a customer base in Leggett and generate revenue during the multi-year constructiontimeline.
