The Nisqually presented two plans for development of the 250-acre property. The Quiemuth Resort project will build a casino and hotel on 74 acres of the land, the Quiemuth Village project will build a multi-use area with retail stores, apartments, open spaces, and cultural, recreational, and entertainment areas on the remaining 174 acres.

After the presentation, the city council voted unanimously to approve a cooperation agreement with the tribe. The agreement addresses development issues involving water supply, sewer and wastewater services, law enforcement, emergency services, and other city services. The tribe agreed to pay the city for these expenses.
