Havasu Landing Resort & Casino

The new Havasu Landing Resort & Casino is located on the western shores of Lake Havasu at Havasu Lake, CA.

In 2019 the Chemehuevi Tribe built a new $40 million casino on its 32,000 acres of land along 30 miles of Colorado River shoreline. It is be a 4-story structure with 25,00 square feet.

This casino 1/4 mile north of their original Havasu Landing Resort Casino, which they purchased in 1974.

The new property includes a hotel with 48 guest rooms and suites. There is also be boat marina and a general store that were both completed by mid-2018.

A 13,000 square-foot gaming floor features 349 slot machines, table games, a restaurant and a lounge.

Ferry service is available from Lake Havasu City.

Havasu Landing Casino reinstates COVID protocols

July 26, 2021

Havasu Landing Casino at California's Lake Havasu was shut down earlier this week to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The casino reopened July 23, 2021 after reinstating health protocols and operational changes to protect guests and employees from the new variants.

• All employees must have negative COVID-19 test results to return to work.

• All guests and employees must ware face masks including those vaccinated.

• Employees will bbe temperature checked upon arrival at work.

• New operating hours for the Casino are in effect:

The changes are temporary but in effect until further notice.

New Havasu Landing Resort & Casino Update

August 1, 2019

The new Havasu Landing Resort & Casino missed its announced July opening due to an unpaved parking lot. The paving contractor failed to meet his deadline and until the parking lot is completed, there will be no announcement of a new opening date.

July 31 was to be the grand opening for both the casino and hotel. It was also the date chosen for the liquor license.

The new casino will have a 13,000-square-foot gaming floor, which is 30% larger than the existing casino.

The new hotel will have 48 rooms, a pool, fitness center and meeting space.

The new restaurant will be 2,000 square feet, which is 30% larger than the existing one.

A marina will have 117 boat slips with a fuel dock.

Lake Havasu Casino breaks ground

November 15, 2017

Ground has been broken on the new $40 million casino and resort owned by the Chemehuevi Indian Tribe. It will be located in California near the Arizona border across from Lake Havasu City.

Groundbreaking was held on Tuesday during a ceremony.

The Havasu Landing Resort and Casino will be 25,000 square feet when completed. It will operate 320 table and gaming machines. The hotel will offer 48 guest rooms. There will also be a marina and a restaurant. When the casino portion is open, a ferry will be available for guests traveling to and from Lake Havasu city.

Construction will be done by Bernards Bros. Construction. Planning for the project started 3 years ago and is scheduled to be completed by early 2019.
