Thunder Valley Casino is an Indian gaming casino owned by the United Auburn Indian Community. The casino is located near the city of Lincoln, CA about 30 miles northeast of Sacramento. To drive from Sacrmento take Interstate 80 towards Reno and Exit Hwy 65 at Twelve Bridges.

The gaming floor at Thunder Valley Casino is 144,500 square feet and features 3,400 slot machines, 110 table games, a 50-seat poker room and a bingo hall. The Thunder Valley hotel has a four-diamond rating with 400 guest rooms and suites.

The job fairs are held in the Employment Center at Thunder Valley Casino, which is located just inside the security entrance of the casino. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM.

Thunder Valley Casino celebrates month-long 20th anniversary in June

Thunder Valley Casino Resort is celebrating its 20th anniversary throughout the entire month of June. The special event includes cash giveaways, entertainment, commemorative apparel, and dining specials. Thunder Valley first opening its doors on June 9, 2003.

Every Tuesday and Thursday players of slots and table games can earn Rewards Card points for anniversary jackets, hats, polo shirts, and t-shirts. There will also be a limited-edition 20th Anniversary Thunder Rewards card given out at the Rewards Center. Supply is limited.

Thunder Valley Casino opens The Venue tonight!

February 17, 2023

Thunder Valley is celebrating the official grand opening of The Venue over this Presidents' Day Weekend. The new $100 million indoor showroom is 150,000-square-foot with a state-of-the-art stage and 4,500 seats. The Venue replaces the former outdoor concert venue at Thunder Valley Casino.

Following the ribbon-cutting on Tuesday, the United Auburn Indian Community Tribal Chairman made this comment:

"Today marks a significant milestone for Thunder Valley and for our Tribe as we celebrate the completion of this wonderful new venue. It has been incredible to witness the growth and success of Thunder Valley since we first broke ground over two decades ago. We look forward to bringing first-class, year-round entertainment to The Venue."

Thunder Valley Casino's 'The Venue' opens Feb. 2023 with star-studded concerts

Thunder Valley Casino Resort will celebrate the grand opening of its new concert center, The Venue, over the President's Day Weekend in February. The 3-day event will feature three star-studded concerts: Eagles Feb. 17, Bruno Mars Feb. 18 and Santana Feb. 19.

The Venue will be a $100 million, state-of-the-art theater with seating for 4,600 guests. The 150,000 square-foot facility is designed for music concerts, live entertainment, sporting events and conferences. See preview.

The Venue will replace Thunder Valley's Outdoor Amphitheater, which held its last event this past weekend.

Thunder Valley Casino breaks ground on $100 million concert venue today

March 16, 2021

Thunder Valley Casino Resort celebrated a groundbreaking today for construction of a $100 million entertainment and concert center. It will be named "The Venue at Thunder Valley". The 150,000-square-foot indoor facility will seat 5,000 guests.

A statement from Thunder Valley Casino Resort read:

"Our groundbreaking ceremony marks a momentous milestone for the United Auburn Indian Community and Thunder Valley Casino Resort as we officially announce plans to expand our entertainment footprint in a big way."

The Venue at Thunder Valley is being built right next to the casino and will open in late 2022. It will replace the temporary outdoor amphitheater.

Thunder Valley Casino's reopening day June 8

June 8, 2020

Hundreds of guests returned to Thunder Valley Casino when it reopened today at 10:00AM. New health and safety protocols require all guests and workers pass a temperature check at entry and wear face masks inside. The gaming area has been configured for social distancing between players.

Thunder Valley Casino reopens June 8

May 26, 2020

An announcement on the homepage of Thunder Valley Casino states the casino will reopen June 8. The hotel will also reopen and is accepting room reservations beginning June 8. No other information is available at this time.

Thunder Valley Casino follows Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and Red Hawk Casino in announcing plans to resume operations after two months of shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thunder Valley Casino signs partner for future sports betting

October 10, 2018

Currently there is no known date set for sports betting to be legalized in California. However one tribe has begun putting the gaming infrastructure in place for when that day comes.

The United Auburn Indian Community has partnered with MGM GVC Interactive to be in place for when the game is legalized. The announcement of the partnership was made on Tuesday in a press release.

The tribe owns the Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

Under the partnership retail and mobile sports betting will be offered. As well as online casino and poker.

Recently MGM made an arrangement with the National Basketball Association. This will also benefit the tribe.

Currently states have passed sports betting gaming regulations to allow the game in operation. A measure to allow sports betting in California is expected to be on the ballot in 2020.

Thunder Valley is adding 25,000 sq-ft of slots, bingo and poker by March 1

January 26, 2018

Another 25,000 square feet is being added to Thunder Valley Casino. The expansion project is expected to be completed by March when the casino hosts the World Poker Tour.

Plans include a larger casino floor. This will add space for a poker room with 400 seats. A new bingo hall will also be built. It will have 800 seats. The slot area reserved for high limit gaming will also be remodeled. The area will add 450 slots.

The cost of the project is $36 million and will last for 12 months.
