A new $300 million resort now under construction in Geyserville, opening Summer 2027.

Caesars Republic Sonoma County is a full redevelopment of the River Rock Casino site by the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians in partnership with Caesars Entertainment. Construction began in August 2025 and is progressing toward a Summer 2027 opening. The project includes a new casino floor, 100-room hotel, spa, pool, fitness center, and multiple new dining concepts overlooking Alexander Valley.
Caesars Republic Sonoma County is under active construction following its August 2, 2025 groundbreaking. The project is a full redevelopment of the former River Rock Casino into a modern $300 million resort featuring a new casino floor, hotel, spa, pool, and multiple dining venues. The opening is scheduled for Summer 2027.
June 2026: Construction continues with no reported delays. Structural work on the new casino floor and hotel tower is progressing, and interior build-out has begun on several dining and guest-service areas. Financing remains fully secured through Citizens and GLPI.

River Rock Casino operates inside a 62,000 sq-ft tent structure located off Highway 128 east of Geyserville in the Alexander Valley and features 900+ slot machines, 11 tables, a high-limit room and a restaurant.
The casino was the first in Sonoma County when it opened on Sept. 15, 2002 with 60 slot machines inside two tent structures.
On August 2, 2025 the Dry Creek Rancheria and Caesars Entertainment broke ground on a new joint project to transform River Rock Casino into the Caesars Republic Sonoma County. The grand opening for the new casino will be in the summer of 2027.
