4 Bears Casino is an Indian gaming casino opened in 1993 by the Three Affiliated Tribes. The casino and lodge is located 4 miles west of New Town on Hwy 23 in the northern part of the Fort Berthold Reservation.
The 4 Bears casino features 700 slot machines, table games, a sports book, three restaurants, a 180-room lodge, event center, marina, RV park, water park and C store/car wash.

Construction on the new hotel tower began in June 2023 and is now in its final phase. The tower adds 90 new guest rooms, bringing the resort's total to 264 rooms once fully opened. The design replaces the former two-story lodge, which was demolished to make way for the expanded footprint.

The MHA Nation is scheduled to open a new seven-story hotel tower this summer. The hotel is part of a $100 million renovation project that has been underway since June 2023.
4 Bears Casino's New Hotel Tower 2026
The 4 Bears Casino project includes 108,000 square feet of new construction and 20,200 square feet of renovation.
The new hotel features 90 guest rooms and 14 luxury suites, a new Sakakawea Spa, fitness room, and a gift shop.
A sports bar with dining room and gaming stations will occupy 3,100-square-feet on the first floor.
The seventh floor will include a 2,500-square-foot ballroom, meeting rooms, and a fine dining steakhouse restaurant. The steakhouse will have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Sakakawea. A glass elevator will provide direct service to the seventh floor.
4 Bears Casino & Lodge now operates a gaming riverboat on Lake Sakakawea. The new riverboat, named River Willow, took its first cruise after its christening ceremony on July 10, 2024. Public cruises operate twice a day Wednesday through Sunday 3 PM - 6 PM and 7 PM - 10 PM.
River Willow is 80 feet long riverboat with 3 decks. The lower deck features casino gambling and is limited to 19 years of age or older. It has 45 slot machines and live blackjack tables. The second deck features events, such as entertainment, weddings, and meetings, and is available to guests of all ages. The top deck is an observation deck to enjoy the scenic views of the cruise. Each deck has a full bar and bathrooms.

4 Bears Casino and Lodge lowered its minimum gambling age this week to 19 years old. A security guard now checks IDs at the entry door and places a wristband on all those who are 19 and 20 years old.

The change of age limit was authorized for Native American casinos by the State of North Dakota in 2022, but the measure did not become effective until this month. Spirit Lake Casino and Resort has also lowered its minimum age to 19.

To mark the event, the casino celebrated with grand openings of its all-new Sports Book and the Cache Marketplace. This was followed by a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 7-story hotel tower, which will open in the summer of 2025.

The new 4 Bears Sports Book features betting kiosks, large-screen TVs, and a bar. The new Cache Marketplace is a food court featuring pizza, pasta, burgers and shakes, plus a coffee bar serving Caribou coffee.
At 2 p.m. Friday 4 Bear Casino broke ground on its new 7-story hotel tower, which will feature 80 rooms, a fine dining restaurant, a new sports bar, an indoor pool, and a top-floor ballroom.
The 30th anniversary celebration will continue with free-play and cash-giveaways in July. On July 15-16, $60,000 in cash will be given away at a 30th anniversary Super Slot Tournament. On July 29, a 2023 Corvette Stingray Convertible will be given away.

Business has returned to 4 Bears Casino. After two slow years caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, 4 Bears Casino is finally seeing its business come back. David Bren, Marketing Director, says "We started having our big concerts again and events showing the public we're back." And now the overall business level is once again good.
