Point Place Casino Hotel

Point Place originally opened on March 1, 2018 as the newest casino in Upstate New York. It is named for the many lake points surrounding its location.

The Oneida Nation began the first expansion project at Point Place Casino in Oct. 2019. This expanded the casino floor, added 100 new slot machines and started a Dealer School. Construction started only 18 months after the grand opening and opened in Spring 2020.

A secon expansion project started in 2024 with a cost of $50 million. Construction was completed in Nov. 2025. The project expanded the casino and added a hotel, more dining options, and an event center.

Point Place is the third New York casino of the Oneida Nation, which also owns and operates Turning Stone Casino Resort and the Yellow Brick Road Casino.

The grand opening of the expanded property was attended by leaders of the Oneida Indian Nation, casino executives, labor and business partners and local officials.

"This expansion is the largest reinvestment we have made in Point Place, adding new experiences and amenities to the property while keeping in place everything that has made it so beloved by our guests and the community."

The ceremony also included the presentation of the new Point Place Casino Hotel logo, which was updated from the casino's first logo used for the 2018 grand opening.

Point Place Casino's $50M Expansion

On Feb. 14, 2024 the Oneida Nation announced plans to invest $50 million to expand the Point Place Casino with a larger casino space, a new hotel, and new dining options.

Construction began on August 20, 2024 and will be completed in late 2025.

New Gaming Area
The casino floor at Point Place Casino will be doubled from its present 65,000 square-feet to 130,000 square-feet.

New Hotel
A new multi-story hotel will feature 100 guest rooms and 8 luxury suites. The hotel will include an event center and a cafe located off the lobby.

New Dining
Point Place Casino will add new restaurant with an American grill menu. In addition, Burgers of Madison County will add breakfast service.

New Fireside Lounge
The popular Fireside Lounge will be expanded to double its size including an expanded bar area and a wood-burning fireplace with 360-degree viewing. New seating around the fireplace will have cocktail service.

Point Place Casino celebrates 2nd anniversary

Point Place Casino will celebrate its second anniversary throughout March with special prizes, events and giveaways. These include:

Point Place Casino plans expansion in 2020

October 28, 2019

Construction has started at Point Place Casino in Bridgeport, New York to expand the size of the casino. The new space will accommodate 100 additional slot machines and a Dealer Scholl to train dealers on table games, such as Blackjack, 3-Card-Poker, Spanish-21, Mississippi Stud Poker and Craps. Construction will be completed in late next spring.

Point Place Casino opened in March 2018, and over the first 18 months the casino has exceeded financial expectations. This success prompted the Oneida Indian Nation to invest in the first expansion project at the casino.

Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO, Ray Halbritter, said:

"When we opened Point Place Casino, we believed people throughout the region and tourists alike would embrace it and appreciate all of the ways it showcases everything that makes this lakeside community so special."

Point Place Casino Celebrates First Anniversary

Point Place Casino Will Open March 1, 2018

January 10, 2018

On March 01 the Point Place Casino will open. This will be the third casino owned by the Oneida Indians.

The casino is located northeast of Syracuse in Bridgeport.

20 table games and 500 slot machines will be in operation.

This is a smaller casino compared to the tribe's Turning Stone Resort Casino. That is located in Verona and operates 2,000 slot machines.

The tribe also owns the Yellow Brick Road Casino located in Chittenango.
