The Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma are building a casino in Hobart, Oklahoma. The site is an 11-acre parcel on the westside of US Hwy 183 and a mile north of Hwy 9.
Federal approval was granted in Dec. 2020. Groundbreaking will be in 2021. The likely opening is in 2022.

The Kiowa Tribe broke ground on a new casino yesterday in Hobart, Oklahoma. All Kiowa members were invited to the 11 AM ceremony at the casino site off Highway 183 near 5th Street downtown.

The Hobart casino will be the fourth Kiowa Casino. Construction is expected to take a year for a grand opening in late 2022.

The Kiowa Indian Tribe received approval last week from the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) to build a new casino on an 11-acre site in Hobart, Oklahoma. The land will be transferred into federal trust to allow casino gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
In a released statement Kiowa Indian Tribe Chairman Matthew Komalty said:
"This is a prime opportunity to embark on great purpose for our Kiowa people while providing a community endeavor that will assist with prosperous advantages, and entertainment, to this economically distressed area. We express our sincere gratitude for this approval."
The casino will be built in Hobart on the westside of U.S. Highway 183 about a mile north of the Highway 9 (E. 11th Street). Full details of the proposed casino have not been announced. Preliminary information indicates the casino property will include a restaurant, offices, and 156 employees.
