The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs began a major expansion and renovation of its Plateau Travel Plaza on Aug. 25th. The property is located in Central Oregon on US-26 ust 14 miles north of the tribe's Indian Head Casino in Warm Springs and 120 miles southeast of Portland.
The expansion project includes the following:
The current gaming space will be doubled.
More slot machines will be added.
The convenient store will be renovated and upgraded with a new coffee station, more ice cream offerings, and a larger beverage selection.
No official date for completion has been announced.
During construction, Plateau Travel Plaza will continue operating the fuel station, showers, and laundry services. Everything else will be temporarily closed. A sign posted on its website reads:

At the same time, the tribe has another expansion project underway at the Indian Head Casino. During this time, the casino remains fully open while gaming is being expanded. new slot machines are being installed along with new craps and roulette games. The restaurant is also being upgraded.
