The Ho-Chunk Nation will open the second largest casino in Wisconsin when it completes the first phase of construction in September 2026 of a $705 million casino, hotel and conference center in Beloit, Wisconsin.

The casino will feature 1,500 slot machines, 40 table games, a sportsbook, four restaurants and a casino bar. A second phase of construction will add an 18-story hotel with 312 rooms and a conference center, which will open in 2027.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit

The Ho-Chunk Casino in Beloit will be located on a 32-acre site on the southeast corner of Willowbrook and Colley roads between Willowbrook Road and Interstate 39-90. The site is 20 miles north of the competing Hard Rock Casino in Rockford, Illinois.

When construction is completed in 2027, the total size of the casino, hotel, conference center and parking garage will be 1.2 million square feet.

Final approval for the Beloit casino was granted by the federal government in May 2022. State approval was granted by Gov. Evers in March 2021 (See details). A gaming compact between the tribe and the state was approved by the federal government in late 2024. The compact requires the Ho-Chunk Nation to pay 5% of annual gross gaming revenue to the state, 1.4% to the City of Beloit, and 0.6% to Rock County.

The Ho-Chunk casino in Beloit is the seventh casinos owned and operated by the Ho-Chunk Nation. The other Ho-Chunk casinos are the Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison in Madison, Wisconsin, Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa in Nekoosa, Wisconsin, Ho-Chunk Gaming Tomah in Tomah, Wisconsin, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells in Baraboo, Wisconsin, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg in Wittenberg, Wisconsin.
