Palms Casino Resort to Debut Enclosed Non-Smoking Gaming Area August 24

The Palms Casino Resort will open its new 7,300-square-foot enclosed non-smoking gaming area on Monday, August 24, marking one of the most significant smoke-free expansions on the Las Vegas off-Strip in recent years.

The dedicated space features 224 slot machines from a dozen manufacturers, a full-service bar, and upgraded air handling designed to fully separate the room from the main smoking-permitted casino floor. The new area is located adjacent to the William Hill Sportsbook, giving guests a cleaner-air option without leaving the core gaming footprint.

A grand opening celebration is scheduled for September 1 at 4 p.m., highlighted by the Spin It Forward IGT Celebrity Charity Slot Challenge, which will bring local personalities and gaming industry figures together for a fundraising event.

Palms' move reflects a growing trend among Las Vegas operators to offer fully enclosed smoke-free environments, rather than partial sections, as guest demand for cleaner-air gaming continues to rise.
