The Las Vegas A's baseball team is building a $1.5 billion major league baseball stadium on the former site of the Tropicana Las Vegas. The stadium will be surrounded by Bally's Resort Las Vegas casino with 3 hotel towers and a conference center. Both the A's stadium and Bally's will open before the 2028 baseball season.

Bally's Resort Las Vegas

A major league baseball stadium will be built on the Las Vegas Strip at the former site of the Tropicana. The ballpark will open for the 1928 baseball season.

During construction of the ballpar, Bally's will be building an adjacent casino and hotel. The casino will feature 1,500 slot machines, 75 table games, 16 poker tables, and a sportsbook. Construction will also start on the first of three hotel towers. The first tower will feature 1,500 guestrooms, a fitness center, spa, salon, and a pool.

A's Ballpark Features

The Las Vegas A's baseball stadium will have the following features:

• Stadium Location: On the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.

• Design: Spherical armadillo shape with five overlapping layers. Northside will be open for natural light.

• Dimensions: The baseball field will be 340 ft to right and left field, 380 ft to left-center, and 415 ft to center. Total stadium footprint will be 373,000-square-feet.

• Outfield: Views of the Las Vegas Strip will be seen through the world's largest cable-net glass window.

• Jumbotron: The scoreboard will be the largest in Major League Baseball with a total size of 18,000-square-feet.

• Seating Capacity: 33,000 seats, with 3,000 standing room spaces.

• Air conditioning: The stadium will be air-conditioned with cold air distributed at the seats.

Construction is planned in three phases:

PHASE 1:

A's Ballpark Construction - primary project

Hotel Tower 1 - includes 1,500 guestrooms, fitness center, spa, salon, and a pool.

Casino Gaming Floor - includes 1,500 slot machines, 75 table games, 16 poker tables, and a sportsbook.

Day Club - a 25,000-square-foot resort day club.
