Red Hawk Resort Casino plans future event center

In this past year, Red Hawk Resort Casino opened a new 5-story hotel and The Apex, a new family amusement complex. Now the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians is seeking to add more reservation land next to the casino for the purpose of building a large event center. The center would host music concerts, conventions, and other live events.

The tribe has filed an application with the U.S. Department of Interior to transfer 189 acres of adjacent land into federal trust as reservation land for the tribe. As part of the application process, the federal government has asked the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors for an impact report for the costs of tax loss and other expenses the county may incur by the transfer.

The location of the event center will be on 15 acres directly west of the casino. The site is bordered by Shingle Springs Drive on the west and Home Court on the north.

The Red Hawk event center is in the early planning stages, and no other information information is currently available for the public.

Red Hawk Casino opens new hotel

Red Hawk Resort + Casino officially opened its new hotel this month. The announcement was made in a press release from the casino last week.

The five-story hotel is connected directly to the casino and features 131 standard guest rooms and 25 suites. Guests will enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding foothills, an outdoor terrace with a pool, and a fitness center. Room sizes start at 440 square feet for the deluxe room up to 900 square feet for a premium suite.

A new hotel will open at Red Hawk Casino on May 1. The five-story hotel has a total of 120,000 square feet with 131 standard guest rooms and 25 suites. Room size range from 440-900 square feet. The hotel is connected directly to the casino and The Apex amusement center.

The first inside visit to the new hotel was filmed by Folsom Times and Folsom TV.

Red Hawk Casino originally opened fifteen years ago in December 2008. The Apex, a family amusement center, was added last January.

The new hotel features sweeping views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada foothills, a fitness center, an outdoor terrace, and a pool, which will open this summer.

Red Hawk Resort & Casino opened 'The Apex' last week, a family-friendly entertainment center. The 80,000-square foot addition is located above the parking garage and offers the following games and experiences for all ages:

• Indoor Go-Kart Racing (all-electric)

• Interactive 18-lane Bowling Center

• Golf Simulator

• Virtual Reality Arcade

• The Apex Grill & Sports Bar

The Apex opened December 26, 2022. The operating hours are Monday - Thursday 11am -11pm, Friday 11am - 2am, Saturday 10am - 2am and Sunday 10am - 11pm.
