Detroit enjoys four casinos: Greektown, MGM Grand Detroit, Motorcity, and the nearby Caesar Winsor across the river
Originally opened in November 2000, the Greektown Casino is expanding its gaming floor from 75,000 to
100,00 square feet. It is also building a 30-story hotel with 400 rooms and
a major buffet.

The MGM Grand opened its new 400-room luxury hotel in October 2007.
It is a 17-story facility with rooms starting at $299 per night and penthouse
suites renting up to $3,000.
