Seminole Casino Immokalee gets new slots in JuneMay 28, 2008IMMOKALEE, FL - The Seminole Casino Immokalee will introduce hundreds of new Vegas-style slot machines in mid-June. Four hundred of the casino’s 800 machines will be switched to Vegas-style slots. The old machines are called Class II slots, or “Bingo slots”, where players play against each other. The new Vegas-style slots are Class III slots where players play against the house. The change will bring more games and more profits for both the players and the casino. “The biggest advantage is that there will be more games and more titles that most people who go to Vegas and play slots will be familiar with,” said Gary Bitner, a Seminole Tribe spokesman. He further said the tribe is also working on plans for a renovation and expansion of the Immokalee casino. “There will be a significant renovation, but the details are still in the works.” He does not expect Immokalee to get table games until the end of this year or the beginning of next year. “It’s a logistics issue. We have to buy the equipment and find dealers so it will take some time.” Return to Florida Casinos. |
