The governor is deciding on the authorization of four new casinos as well as
Chicago's first ever casino. Many business leaders and casino owners are
following the decision.
If passed, the addition of the new casinos will bring competition to the state's
current gaming industry. The state's treasury will also earn money for the new
casino's upfront gaming fees. The money will equal $1.6 billion.
Tax money made from the revenues from the casinos goes to state and local
