April 22, 2008

TOPEKA - The Kansas Lottery Commission announced they will hear casino presentations by seven development companies that submitted applications for one of four gambling zones enacted by the legislature last year.

The meetings are open to the public and scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 19 and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 20 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka.

The Lottery Commission will negotiate contracts with each developer by May 27th and send them to the Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board for final selection. The seven-member review board will select one developer for each of the four zones.
