In December of 2011 Baton Rouge will be opening the doors to a new casino. The
Baton Rouge project, owned by Pinnacle Entertainment, will be building a $357
million casino hotel.
The original budget has been increased from $250 million to accommodate changes
to the original plan. The design of the new complex is to give visitors the feel
of a southern style river lodge. It will be embracing Louisiana’s cultural
history, as well as music and food styles.
The facility will feature a 3,000 square foot game floor. Plans call for 51 game
tables and 1,500 slot machines. The hotel will feature 200 guest rooms and a
pool on the roof top.
The casino will offer a casino bar and 3 dining locations. Other features are
covered parking, an event center, and an area outdoors for festival grounds.
