Hollywood Slots moves to new homeBANGOR, Maine - Hollywood Slots will close its original location in the former Miller’s restaurant next Sunday and move to a new Art Deco-style facility up the street. The public opening is Tuesday night. The new location is 8 acres across from Bass Park and includes a 1,500-car parking structure and a 154-room hotel, which is scheduled to open later this summer. The casino has 1,000 slot machines with a license to add 500 more in the future. The price tag for the new facilities is $132 million. General Manager Jon Johnson hopes the new facilities attract gamblers from further distances that might otherwise to Connecticut’s Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos. Return to Maine Casinos. |
