Four Winds Hartford Gets Ready to Open

August 29, 2011

The doors will open to the public on Tuesday for the new Four Winds Hartford Casino. The new gaming facility will be operating at noon and stay open 24 hours a day.

Guests will be able to enjoy 500 slot machines. Future expansion will allow for 1000 slots. 9 game tables will also be in operation. Games will include Mississippi Stud, a version of poker. Blackjack and roulette are also included in the games.

Food choices include Timbers, a fast food and deli with seats for 100 visitors. Also a bar that seats 15. Guests can also enjoy the gift shop. Smoking will also be allowed in the casino. In total, the casino will have a 1,500 visitor capacity. 400 people are currently employed by the casino. 100 of those are citizens of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

The Four Winds Hartford is the first satellite casino in the state. It is also the smallest casino in Michigan's Southwest area.
