FUTURE VICKSBURG CASINOS

Two others casino projects remain in pre-construction phases:

  1. Mississippi Bluffs casino and golf complex
Located about a mile north of Riverwalk, this project may change ownership. If it does, the new owners must appear before the Mississippi Gaming Commission to seek approval.

  2. Proposed casino by Minnesota-based Lakes Entertainment
Located further south off U.S. 61 South, this is a $200 million project which is stalled and waiting for disposition rights to the land.

VICKSBURG CASINO UPDATES

  1. Ameristar is adding parking garages and additional casino space. It is also planning a second and possibly third hotel.

  2. DiamondJacks has announced expansion plans off Washington near Clark Street.

  3. Horizon is changing ownership for the third time since it opened in November 1994.
