Indigo Sky Casino celebrates Grand Opening

The Eastern Shawnee celebrated the opening of their new casino. The $90 million
Indigo Sky Casino complex opened on Thursday.
Guests from around the area were in attendance for the grand opening.
Traditional Native American dances and songs were part of the ceremony.
Additional events are planned for this weekend. Live entertainment has been
scheduled. There will also be a Jaguar automobile given away to a lucky guest.
The casino operates 14 gaming tables, over 1,200 electronic games, and a high
limit gaming room. There is also a Poker room, live Bingo, off track betting.
The Indigo Sky Hotel is next to the casino. It offers 117 guest rooms, a pool
with cabanas, and free WiFi. The Whispering Woods RV Park can be found directly
behind the casino. There are 44 spaces, a clubhouse, showers, and on-site
In the early 1830's, the Eastern Shawnee tribe were relocated to Ohio. The Tribe
had over come many difficulties in the past. The new casino facility is seen as
a way for stability for the tribal members.
The Indigo Sky Casino is located on Hwy 60. Just between Seneca, Mo and
