Santee Sioux Tribe given casino loan from Minnesota Tribe

A loan of $20 million is being paid to Nebraska’s Santee Sioux Tribe. The loan
is coming from a Minnesota Indian tribe, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux
Community. The money is to help pay from casino improvements.
Plans for the improvements include a new Ohiya Casino. The facility will be
25,000 square feet. There are also plans to build a hotel that will be located
east of Niobrara. The hotel will have 50 guest rooms. Plans also call for a golf

of the Prior Mystic Lake Casino. The casino is located in Prior Lake, MN.
