Ground Breaking to Happen Thursday for New Nebraska Destination Casino Resort

Ground will soon be broken on a new destination casino and resort. It will be
located in Niobrara, of Northeast Nebraska. The new casino resort project is
estimated to cost $20 million and will replace the Ohiya Casino that is located
on Highway 12.
The Santee Sioux are the owners of the new casino.
Plans for the new facility include a new gaming floor and entertainment center.
There will also be a championship golf course with 18 holes. As well as a hotel
with 49 guest rooms.
Thursday will be the ground breaking. The new casino resort is scheduled to open
on June1, 2012.
