October 08, 2008 Foxwood’s Center City Casino is moving forward with their plans. There is hope to begin operations be the end of 2009. This was discussed at a meeting yesterday between Washington Philadelphia Investors LP and the Central Philadelphia Development Corp. Another detailed discussed is the location. When first announced, the casino was to be built on top of the existing mall in the downtown area. Now, the casino will be built in the space occupied by Burlington Coat Factory. The leaders of Chinatown will meet with the Mayor’s office, city’s mayor, and councilman to discuss the casino building plans tomorrow. Return to Pennsylvania Casinos. |
