The Resorts Casino Hotel is managed by the Mohegan Gaming Advisors, a subsidiary of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority owned by the Mohegan Indian Tribe of Uncasville, Connecticut. The Tribe owns and operates the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut and the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
When the Resorts Casino Hotel first opened May 26, 1978, it was the first casino hotel in Atlantic City and the first outside of Nevada. The 33,735 square-foot casino was open 10am to 4am and operated 893 slot machines and 84 table games.
