PRESS RELEASE

PENDLETON,OR - Wildhorse Resort and Casino is hosting a Grand Opening for the new Wildfire Sports Bar on January 30, from 4pm-7pm. The event is open to the public, 21 years and over.

From BuzzTime sports trivia contests and hot wing eating competitions to free raffles and complimentary hors d'oeuvers, the Grand Opening is sure to have something for everyone. Just for walking through the door, each guest will receive a raffle ticket to enter them in the many drawings held throughout the evening. The Budweiser girls will be on hand to help hand out prizes and take pictures. Eagle 106.5FM out of Tri-Cities will also be doing giveaways throughout the week and a live remote from the opening on Saturday.

Sign-ups will begin at 4pm for both the BuzzTime Sports Trivia contest and the "Nine Levels of Fire" hot wing eating contest. Each competition is limited to the first 80 participants.

Guests competing at the BuzzTime Sports Trivia contest can win their share of $500. Contestants have 20 seconds to answer each question. The faster the correct answer is selected the higher the score. The contestant with the most points after answering 15 trivia quests will win.
What are the "Nine levels of Fire?" They start at mild and range to Over the Top Insane. Wildfire uses the Scoville Scale to rank their hot wings. The scale indicates the amount of liquid needed to dilute the capsaicin to an undetectable level. A sweet pepper or bell pepper, for example, has a Scoville rating of zero. Conversely, the hottest chilies, such as habaneras, have a rating of 200,000 or more. Wildfire's level 10 "Over the Top" wings need to be diluted with 375,000 parts of liquid to kill the heat.

For the "Nine levels of Fire" hot wing competition, each participant will sign a waiver, be given gloves and goggles, and there will also be an EMT on standby for safety. Three wings must be completely eaten at each level of heat. The participant to eat the hottest wings wins their share of $200 and not to worry; milk and bread will be on hand for competitors after they leave the competition. The first round of competition will begin at 5pm. Participants are encouraged to bring a cheering section.

Immediately following the Grand Opening, Groove City will start with live R&B music for the remainder of the evening.
