The Graton Resort & Casino will open today at 10AM.

The casino is Located in the southern part of Sonoma County, near Rohnert Park. It cost $800 million to build. The casino will be open 24 hours daily. There are 144 game tables and 3,000 video gaming machines in operation. Also four restaurants and a food court.

The Graton Resort & Casino is owned by the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria. It is the largest casino in northern California that is tribal owned.

The casino project began ten years ago. However, residents of Sonoma County fought to stop the project from being built. They were fearful of the amount of crime that the new casino could bring to their area.

It is estimated that the casino could have 8,000 to 10,000 guests each day. However, with the opening, it is expected to have much larger crowds for a few weeks.
