June Revenue Report Released For Mississippi Casinos

The casinos in the river region in Mississippi reported lower revenues. However, casinos in the Gulf coast reported a strong June.

$78.7 million was reported from the 18 casinos on the river. This number was 12 percent lower than a year ago.

$95.7 million in revenue was reported by the casinos on the coast. This was up from a year ago by 13 percent.

$174 million was spent statewide at Mississippi casinos by gamblers last month. That was 1 percent higher from a year ago. The report showed that over the previous 12 months, the state casino revenue has been falling 4 percent.

Choctaw Indian casinos were not included in the report. The tribe is not required to report their revenue information with the state.
