Fantasy Springs Casino is an Indian gaming casino owned and operated by the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians. The casino is located in Indio, California about 30 minutes southeast of the Palm Springs near Interstate 10.

2018 Expansion and Renovations

January 26, 2019

In June the lounge and bar named Twelve was renovated with new decor and furniture. Renovations are also taking place at Lit Lounge. By Thanksgiving, those changes are expected to be completed.

A new non-smoking game area was placed next to the bowling alley. The previous non-smoking room has been replaced by the high-limit slot machines. Table games can be found in the original high-limit gaming room. These changes were completed in September 2018.

Future expansion plans have not been announced.

Fantasy Springs Casino reopens The Rock Yard

March 10, 2022

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino will reopen The Rock Yard Friday night March 11. The outdoor music venue will host free concerts with capacity for about 1,500 guests.

A permanent stage has been added to The Rock Yard. The new stage is 50% larger and configured in a semi-circle that is 58 feet wide and 13 feet tall.

The concert series will run Friday and Saturday nights from 7:30 PM till 12:30 AM and continue every month through mid-December. Minimum age is 18.

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino reopens bingo

October 25, 2020

On Friday Fantasy Springs Resort Casino reopened bingo after temporarily shutting it down last March for the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new bingo schedule includes six nightly sessions at 6:30 PM Monday through Saturday and a 2 PM matinee session on Sundays.

Masks are required and player capacity is limited to 50% to maintain social distancing. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the bingo area, and a deep cleaning crew sanitizes the entire bingo facility after each session.

The snack bar will remain closed until further notice.

Cabazon Band of Mission Indians signs new 25-year gaming compact

The Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, owners of Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, has signed a new, 25-year gaming compact with California Governor Gavin Newsom replacing the previous 1999 compact.

KEY NEW EATURES

• The tribe may open and operate a second casino with "Vegas-style" Class III Gaming.

• The second casino must be built on the Tribe's reservation land. Their reservationh owns acreage in Indio, Coachella and Mecca, California.

• The tribe will operate 1,800 total gaming machines.

• The tribe can operate 450 additional gaming machines beginning Jan 1, 2024.

There is a major, historical connection between the State of California and the Cabazon Tribe. In 1987 the U.S. Supreme Court made a landmark decision in the case of California v. Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, 480 U.S. 202. The court ruled that California had no authority to restrict gambling on U.S. Indian reservations. That decision became the birth of Indian gaming casinos and spread to other tribes across the nation.

The 120-page government-to-government agreement was signed by Governor Gavin Newsom August 21, 2019 and Chairman Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, Doug Welmas, August 20, 2019.
