$15 million was reported amount earned as the contributions to the state from
tribal casinos last quarter. The report was released by the Arizona Department
December 31 is when the last quarter ended.
The reported amount rose 6.9 percent from the same time the previous year.
Close to $3.8 million will go to fund emergency and trauma services. The largest
portion will go to the state's Instructional Improvement Fund for education.
That amount will be $7.5 million. The remainder of the money will go to wildlife
conservation, tourism, and operating costs for different departments.
